Post-jam Announcement
Hello everyone! This is just a post to talk about a few things post-jam.
First, thanks to everyone who took the time to rate and give feedback on my game! It really means a lot to me; Inde game dev is something I want to try to pursue as a career and the feedback I received during the course of this jam has not only been helpful, but also really motivating. As far as results go, I am very happy to have ranked overall in the top 100 and at #11 for gameplay.
Second, I am planning on updating the game now that the jam has ended. I have a few things in mind that I want to add and polish, plus some things to address based on the feedback I received. Here are some general ideas that I am going to be looking into. This isn't everything I have planned, but a sample of some of the main ideas.
- Music! I got a lot of feedback about adding music to the game. This is something that fell through the cracks due to time constraints.
- More levels. There were a lot of great comments from people who seemed to really enjoy playing the game, so naturally I want to add more levels as more levels equals more game to play.
- New level mechanics. Along with more levels, I am going to experiment with more objects to place in levels to keep things interesting while keeping the main gameplay loop simple.
- Various other quality of life changes and polishing.
I hope to be able to add these changes to the game over the next week or two.
Thanks again to everyone for playing my game!
